Peter H. Roush Jr., 83, 1585 Worth St., Reynoldsville, died Wednesday evening, Oct. 21, 2015, at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born Nov. 24, 1931, in Reynoldsville, he was a son of the late Peter H. and Florence P. Henry Roush.
On June 21, 1958, he married Margaret A. Miller Roush. She survives in Reynoldsville.
He was a former employee of Montgomery Ward, Armagost Steel, Dickey Lumber, Reynoldsville Casket Co., and retired as a security guard for Truhart Security.
He was a veteran of the Army, having served as a Private First Class during the Korean War.
Peter was a member of the Reynoldsville First Baptist Church, where he served as trustee, deacon, head usher and custodian.
He is also survived by three sons, Peter R. Roush of Reynoldsville, Daniel E. Roush of Reynoldsville, Michael J. (Shannon) Roush of Grand Rapids, Mich.; one daughter, Mary Ann Baummer of Reynoldsville; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one brother, Ronald E. Roush of Waterford; and one sister, Phyllis Deible of DuBois.
He was also preceded in death by one great-grandson, Camden Owen Baummer; and five sisters: Alice Snyder, Dorothy Roush, Frances Miller, Betty McCurdy and Esther Solida.
There will be no public visitation. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at the Reynoldsville First Baptist Church, Reynoldsville, with the Rev. Robin Fernandez officiating. Burial will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville. Military honors will be accorded by the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
Memorial donations may be made to the Reynoldsville First Baptist Church, 518 E. Main St., Reynoldsville, PA 15851.
