Raymond S. Foulkrod, 72, of Sykesville, passed away Sept. 30, 2015, at Penn Highlands DuBois, following a lengthy illness.
He was the son of Letha (Wolfe) and Jesse Foulkrod. He was born Jan. 31, 1943, in Brookville.
Mr. Foulkrod was employed at the Marienville Glass Plant for 18 years, and Glenn Redi-Mix of Brookville until his retirement.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Sykesville, where he served as an usher, trustee and choir member. He also enjoyed participating in the Marienville Minstrel Variety Show for many years. He was a former member of Sykesville Lions Club. Raymond and his wife were the volunteer directors and creators of the Sykesville Social Center, where they planned many activities for the community.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry of Brookville and James of Heritage, Pa.
Surviving is his wife of 20 years, Lee Grace (Rupert); a brother, Frank Foulkrod (Kathy) of DuBois; and a sister, Patricia McCool of Brookville. Raymond is also survived by two daughters, Traci Johnson (Kent) of Titusville and Michelle Glaeser (John) of Creedmore, N.C. He has two grandsons, Michael and Jesse Johnson of Titusville; two stepsons, Benjamin Paruso (Katie) of Concord, Calif., Vincent Paruso (Heather) of Savannah, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Leslie Ann Krull (Todd) of Savannah, Ga.; and four step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Grace United Methodist Church in Sykesville at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. at the church followed by a luncheon.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to the Grace United Methodist Church, Main Street in Sykesville, 15865, in lieu of flowers.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home of Reynoldsville. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery.
