Regina Marie Cable, 75, Reynoldsville, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014, as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
Born Jan. 27, 1939, in Punxsutawney, she was a daughter of the late Steve and Louise M. Astorino Yasolsky.
She was married to Harry "Pete" Edward Cable, a military veteran, on July 23, 1960. He survives.
She was a devoted, caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a magnificent homemaker who took great pride in her home.
Mrs. Cable was a life-long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anita. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and an active member of the Foundry Senior Center of Reynoldsville. She enjoyed spending time with her family and oil painting. She was a great cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Harry "Pete" Cable; two daughters, Cathy Cable-Westphal of Mahaffey and Julie-Cable Wolf of Cleveland, Ohio; two grandchildren, Lauren Westphal Price and Matthew Westphal; and one sister, Mary Louise Yasolsky Boyle of DuBois.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Yasolsky.
Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today (Friday, Dec. 26, 2014) at Shumaker Funeral Home Inc., Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, at the funeral home officiated by the Rev. Monsignor Joseph Riccardo.
Interment will follow at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Cable's memory to the local chapter of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
