Richard L. Bish, 78, DuBois, died on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born Friday, Jan. 28, 1938, in Knox Dale, Pa., he was the son of the late Joseph Bish and the late Elma (Newcome) Bish. He was the husband of the late Mary (Burley) Bish.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was a devoted family man. He enjoyed camping and loved meeting new people.
He retired from Owens-Brockway after 35 years of service and was then instrumental in the early years of Biggie's Quality Meats.
Surviving are daughters, Cathi Harvey (Jeff) of Whippany, N.J. and Brenda Biggie (John) of Reynoldsville, Pa.; grandson, Mason Richard Biggie, who meant the world to him; half sister, Alice Sylvis (Dave) of DuBois, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by brothers Elmer and John Bish; sisters, Doris Smith, Mary Ishman, Beverly Joann Delarme and Betty Jane Snyder; and half brother, Rex Bish.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016, and from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 31, at the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 206 E. Main St., Reynoldsville, Pa.
A funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 31, at the funeral home, with Pastor Kenneth M. Eddy officiating.
Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.
Memorial donations may be sent to Reynoldsville Ambulance.
