Richard W. "Dick" Bennett Sr., 82, of East Main Street, Brookville, PA, died on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, at Penn Highlands Brookville.
Born on July 11, 1938, in Brookville, he was the son of the late Charles Thorne and Louise Dilts Bennett.
Retired, Dick had been employed as an airport shuttle bus driver at Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Dick was a past member of the Eagles Club in Brookville, the Brookville Fireman's Club and was a past member of the Brookville Fire Department. He loved the game of baseball and enjoyed coaching little league and played at one time for the Brookville Grays.
He is survived by a daughter, Kimberly (Dan) Barber of Brookville; three sons: Michael Bennett of Middle River, MD; Richard "Dick" (Andrea) Bennett Jr. of Four Oaks, N.C.; Scott Bennett, also of Brookville; two brothers, Rev. James Bennett of South Carolina and Vernon Bennett of Colorado. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Jamie Lynn (Chris) Smith, Megan (Andy) Rowan, David (Sierra) Barber, Todd (Margo Bowser) Barber, all of Brookville; Nicole (Corey) Santoriello of Arizona, Farrell Bennett and Paige Bennett, both of North Carolina, as well as seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles "Chuck" Bennett.
All services for Dick will be private at the convenience of his family.
