Richard W. Turk, 74, 421 Hill St., Reynoldsville, died Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born May 22, 1941, in Oil City, he was a son of the late Jack Turk and Mable Waitz Turk. On Sept. 28, 1991, he married Rita Ruth Deemer Turk. She survives in Reynoldsville.
Richard was a 1959 graduate of Oil City High School and later graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Morturary Science, where he received his funeral director licenses.
He was a retired funeral director for Morrison Funeral Home in Oil City. After retirement, he worked in the DuBois Hospital housekeeping department.
He was Protestant by Faith.
He was a member of the Petrolia Masonic Lodge #363 F&AM, Oil City and Coudersport Consistory.
Richard is also survived by three sons, Michael W. Turk of Sykesville, David C. (Pam) Turk of Nicholasville, Ky., and Kent J. (Theresa) Turk of Coopertown; one daughter, Gretchen (Rick) Smith of Brookville; two stepdaughters, Desiree (John) Barrett of Curwensville and Doreen Cressler of Paisley, Fla.; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild; one sister, Donna (Joseph) Goodman of Avon Lake, Ohio.
At Richard's request, there will be no viewing or service.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home, Reynoldsville.
