Robert A. Wilson Sr. (1933 - 2016)

Robert A. Wilson Sr., age 82, formerly of Home Camp Road, DuBois, Pa., died Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at the DuBois Nursing Home after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Born Dec. 13, 1933, in DuBois, Pa., he was the son of the late Harry M. Wilson Sr. and Frances (Guiher) Wilson.
Bob was a 1952 graduate of Sandy High School.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War.
On June 6, 1953, he married Mona M. Sterling. She preceded him in death on April 5, 2010.
He was a self-employed carpenter.
Bob was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of DuBois where he served on the Board of Deacons. He was a life member of the Oklahoma Fire Company, and was a member of the Pennsylvania Wildlife Habitat Unlimited. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being in the outdoors, country music, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins and NASCAR. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family.
Bob is survived by two daughters, Robin Georgino and her husband, Patsy of DuBois, Pa. and Joy Heller and her husband, Scott of Conover, N.C.; a son, Robert A. Wilson Jr. and his wife, Wendy of DuBois, Pa.; three sisters, Mona R. Hart, Hazel Pringle and her husband, Jack, and Rena Miles and her husband, Burt; a sister-in-law, Jean Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Harry M. Wilson Jr.
There will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery.
