Robert "Aaron" Harbridge, 35, of Forest, Va., died Friday, Sept. 4, 2015.
Born Feb. 11, 1980, in Birmingham, Ala., he was the only son of Robert "Grant" Harbridge and the late Gloria Lee Huggins Harbridge. He was married to Molly Brooks on Dec. 19, 2013. She survives, as does their 10-month old daughter, Lillian Brooks.
Aaron was employed with Harbridge Restoration in Forest, Va., as a carpenter/painter. Clients often commented on his hard-work ethic and craftsmanship as well as his easy-going personality. He was passionate about cooking for family, friends and the church. He loved to make elaborate wooden birdhouses and restored a vintage crib for his daughter. Aaron always made himself available for any down-and-out person he met.
Until Lily, his daughter, came along, Aaron never wanted children. She captured his heart, and he will be remembered as one of the most loving, caring fathers.
Survivors include his father, Robert Grant Harbridge (stepmother, Sheila) of Forest, Va.; one sister, Gloria Dawn (Scott) Alexander of Redding, Calif.; niece, Sadie, and a nephew, Braden. Also surviving are three stepbrothers: Kyle, Cliff and Brent Wimmer.
Aaron was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Lee Huggins Harbridge and both sets of grandparents.
There will be no public visitation. A private family graveside service will be held at Rappahannock Baptist Church, Warsaw, Va., at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015. Aaron will be buried alongside his mother, and will be greatly missed until that Great Reunion Day.
