Robert K. Williams, age 85, of Patterson Avenue, DuBois, Pa., died Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at his home.
Born on Jan. 16, 1931, in Christiana, Pa., he was the son of the late Jacob J. and Fannie (Bowermaster) Williams.
On Feb. 27, 1954, he married his wife of 62 years, Shirley (Chalfant) Williams. She survives.
Bob was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War.
He retired as a mechanical engineer from Unisys Corporation in Philadelphia after 36 years of service.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, and was a member of the Garfield Lodge #559 Free & Accepted Masons. Bob was also a member of the Scottish Rite, Coudersport Consistory. He was a past member of the Treasure Lake Lions Club, and loved to fish, read and golf. Most importantly, he was a humble and caring man that loved his family and friends.
He is survived by three children: Beth Williams-LeRoy and her husband Charles of DuBois, Pa., Carol Williams and her husband Frank of East Followfield, Pa., and Allison Williams-Ball and her husband Dean of DuBois, Pa.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James Williams.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016, from the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home, DuBois. A masonic service will be conducted by the members of the Garfield Lodge #559 at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2016, from the Christ Lutheran Church with Pastors John and Amy Miller officiating.
