Robert S. Coakley passed away Aug. 29, 2016.
He was born in Englewood, N.J., to Edna M. and John A. Coakley on Nov. 11, 1931.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, John A. Coakley Jr., Edna M. Grady, James G. Coakley and Richard A. Coakley. He was also preceded in death by three of his four children, Richard A. Coakley (infant), Robert S. Jr. (49) and Christopher P. (54).
Robert graduated from St. Cecilia High School and Farleigh Dickinson University.
He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Korean War.
Robert married Elizabeth A. (Ullmann) on June 18, 1955. He and Elizabeth (Betty Anne), together for over 60 years, traveled the world visiting more than 90 countries.
Robert supported his family through significant managerial positions in the paper and glass container industries. He was the Vice President of two glass companies and finally retired as a Senior Vice President of Owens Illinois, Inc.
Robert leaves his wife and his fourth son, Matthew J. Coakley of Perrysburg, Ohio; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; plus many nieces and nephews.
Inurnment will be in DuBois, Pa.
