Rodger L. Shoup, 56, of DuBois, formerly of Altoona, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Pinnacle Health Harrisburg Hospital.
He was born May 29, 1960, in Altoona, son of the late Walter and Betty (Bartley) Shoup.
He was a graduate of Altoona High School.
He was married to Linda (Jones) Shoup; she survives in Treasure Lake. He is also survived by his two children, Jason (Rebecca) Shoup of DuBois and Nicholas "Nick" (Kaitie) Shoup of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren, Tyler and Jennifer.
He was an owner/operator leased to Landstar Trucking. He was a member and volunteer of the American Youth Soccer Association, PA Interscholastic Athletic Association as a soccer official, and National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association as a referee. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 1 until 3 p.m. and 5 until 7 p.m. at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois. A service will be held on Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend David Nagele officiating. Burial will take place in St. Catherine's Cemetery in DuBois.
