Ronnie Ray "Tack" Carroll, 67, of DuBois, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, at Penn Highlands DuBois after a lengthy illness.
He was born Oct. 30, 1949, in Middletown, Ohio. He is the son of the late Herbert Ray and Josephine (Huff) Carroll. He was married to Debra (Marshall) Carroll on Sept. 5, 1974; she survives in DuBois.
Ronnie was a graduate of Middletown High School. Ronnie was also a graduate of TDDS Truck Driving School with honors and was over the road team driver with his son Michael. He was most recently a bus driver for Clepper Bus Services.
Ronnie attended Temple Baptist Church in DuBois. He enjoyed fishing and storytelling.
Ronnie is also survived by his two sons, Michael (Beverly) Carroll of North Carolina and Gregory (Carrie) Carroll Sr. of St. Marys; two sisters, Wilda (Keith) Jackson and Jenny Mae Willhoite, all of Ohio; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Danville Carroll.
Friends will be received on Saturday, March 4, 2017, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 590 Lincoln Dr., DuBois, PA 15801. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church, with Pastor Kevin Orndorff officiating.
