Russell R. Knarr, 67, 707 Sutton St., Punxsutawney, died Sunday afternoon, May 24, 2015, at Penn Highlands Brookville.
Born Feb. 23, 1948, in Punxsutawney, he was a son of Ralph R. Knarr and Geneva Buhite Knarr. His mother survives in Reynoldsville.
On May 25, 2013, he married Nancy J. Phillips Knarr. She survives and lives in Punxsutawney.
Russell was a 1966 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School. He was a retired employee of Kohlhepp's True Value in DuBois and was a part-time radon home inspector.
He was a member of Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Punxsutawney, where he served as an Elder and on the Worship Team. He was also a member of the Gold Wing Riders Association and the Christian Motorcycle Association.
Russell is survived by two daughters, Paula (John) Schaffer of Greencastle and Pamela Roeder of Smethport; two sons, Russell (Kristen) Knarr of DuBois and Todd (Jamie) Phillips of Gifford; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; first wife, Gertrude P. Cornman Knarr; and brother, Kermit Knarr.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home in Reynoldsville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 28, at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Punxsutawney with the Rev. Kenneth Tack officiating. Burial will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.
