Saba A. Dezanet, 75, 1079 S. Michael Rd., St. Marys, passed away at his residence Friday night, March 27, 2015, with his family at his side following a lengthy illness.
He was born March 6, 1940, in Weedville, a son of the late Victor and Geninie Betta Dezanet.
On June 2, 1962, in Queen of the World Church, he married Marlene Hoffman Dezanet. She survives.
He graduated from Weedville High School in 1958. He retired from Keystone Carbon Co. in March 2003.
He was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time at the "Short Horn Camp" with his children and grandchildren.
He was a member of the C.M.F. and Queen of the World Church.
He enjoyed gardening and walking with his wife, Marlene.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters: Sharon (Eugene) Hulings, St. Marys, Carla (Dean) Williams, Wakefield, Kan. and Barbara (Phil) Paul, St. Marys; three sons, Vic (Lisa) Dezanet, St. Marys, Howie (Tressy) Dezanet, Weedville and Robert (Michelle) Dezanet, Kersey; 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Christine (Walter) Gavazzi and Veronica Payne.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2015, at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, St. Marys. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, at the Queen Of The World Church, St. Marys. Burial will be in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, St. Marys.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hahne Cancer Center or Community Nurses Hospice.
