Sharron L. Frederick Lingenfelter, 69, Crate Lane, Sigel, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014. She passed away at her home.
Born March 29, 1945, in San Francisco, Calif., she was the daughter of the late John Edward Frederick and Anna Cyphert Frederick. She was married to Thomas E. Abraham of Youngsville in 1967, (who survives) and later to Jack L. Lingenfelter of Sigel on March 29, 1985, in State College (who survives).
She graduated from the Brookville Area High School in 1963 and the Hamot Medical Center in Erie in 1966 as a certified CEN Trauma Nurse. She worked for 42 years for the Warren General Hospital in Warren, the Rouse Home in Youngsville, the Brookville Hospital in Brookville, the Centre Community Hospital in State College, DuBois Regional Medical Center in DuBois and retired from the UPMC Hospital in Seneca.
She was a member of the Brookville Presbyterian Church.
She enjoyed her dogs, Sammy and Myah, and loved to play Bridge, but, most importantly, made it her life's goal to help other people.
Together they helped raised four children: Julia E. Abraham (fiancée – Charlie Lacki) of Lakewood, N.Y., Thomas R. Abraham (Michelle) of Youngsville, Michael Lingenfelter (Woody) of Clayton, N.C. and Gretchen Lingenfelter Fitzpatrick of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister, Judy Frederick Dempsey (Allen) of Emerickville; a brother, John Frederick of Brookfield, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, at the McKinney Funeral Home, Brookville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at the Presbyterian Church on Main Street in Brookville, with the Rev. Nathan Royster and the Rev. Darr Briggs, Pastor Emeritus. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Eldred Twp.
