Stephen K. Wolfe, age 50, of Brookville, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, after a motor vehicle accident while traveling home from work.
Stephen was born on Nov. 30, 1966, in Brookville, Pa., the son of Richard and Jean (Shick) Wolfe; both parents survive him.
On May 11, 1989, he married Merlyn Paller (Cabrillos) Wolfe while he was stationed in San Diego, Calif.; Merlyn also survives him.
After graduating from Brookville High School with the class of 1985, Stephen joined the United States Navy. He served honorably for 10 years receiving commendations for his work in rewriting radar training courses. He also served on the USS Kinkaid from the West Coast and on the USS Oberon from the East Coast.
After his military service, he partnered with two other people and opened Emerald Productions, which was an animation company. Later he began working for Micros and More doing computer repair, based out of Phillipsburg, Pa. When the opportunity presented itself, he started working for the DuBois Business College where he taught I.T. courses and programming until their recent closing. For the past few months he has been working in State College at Shaner as a Network Administrator.
Stephen and his family are members of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Brookville, Pa. Stephen was a homebody who always supported his wife and daughters. He never missed a soccer game, even while his girls were in college. He enjoyed things that were broken, electronics, cars, and whatever else, because he loved being able to fix them. He couldn't get enough of the outdoors and loved activities such as hunting, bike riding, four-wheeling, or riding his motorcycle with his dog strapped to him. Stephen was a tall man who cast an even larger shadow of love, support, family values, and compassion. He is missed.
In addition to his wife and parents, Stephen is survived by two daughters, Stephanie A. Wolfe, Ashley M. Wolfe; one brother, Edward (Christine) Wolfe; two sisters, Marsha (Bruce) Ackerman, Andrea Wonderling; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by one brother, Mark Wolfe.
