Mrs. Terue "Terri" Bundy, 77, of Milky Way, Waynesboro, died Friday morning, Feb. 26, 2016, in her home, after an extended illness.
Born Dec. 10, 1938, in Amami Oshima, Japan, she was the daughter of Shigeshi and Shigeko (Maehria) Uema.
She grew up in Amami Oshima and Okinawa, graduating in 1957 from Mawashi High School, Naha, Okinawa, Japan
She was married Hiram H. Bundy Jr. Jan. 12, 1962, in Naha Okinawa, Japan. They moved to their present residence in 1991.
She was employed with Regency Thermographers, Waynesboro, Pa., retiring in 2003.
She was a member of Antrim Brethren in Christ Church, Chambersburg, Pa., where she served as a greeter and on the Sharing and Caring Committee. She was also a member of the Gideon's Auxiliary, Waynesboro.
Terri enjoyed working in her flower gardens around her house and especially spending time with her husband working in their vegetable gardens at the end of a long day. She had an infectious smile and a happiness about her that warmed those in her presence.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children: Diane Rudd, Stuart, Fla., Michelle Bundy, Sterling, Va. and Hiram H. Bundy, III, Fairplay, Md.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hiroko Takekawa, Kyoto, Japan and Sachiko Kawakami, Los Angeles, Calif.; one brother, Michinobu Uema, Okinawa, Japan and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Hironori Uema.
Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, in Antrim Brethren in Christ Church, 24 E. Kauffman Road and Molly Pitcher Hwy, Chambersburg, with Pastor Rob Gowing and Pastor Ky Searcy officiating. Burial will be private in Morningside Cemetery, Dubois, Pa., at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Monday morning, in the church.
