Thomas E. Bogacki Sr., 76, of Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania died on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at DuBois Nursing Home in DuBois, Pa.
Born Tuesday, July 8, 1941 in DuBois, Pa., he was the son of the late Louis E. Bogacki Sr. and the late Louise (Alessi) Bogacki. He was the husband of the late Aldine (Kriner) Bogacki.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and F&A Masons, of which he was two-time Worshipful Master. He was a past Scoutmaster of Troop 72 Reynoldsville and past council member of Bucktail Council. He received the Silver Beaver award BSA. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion Post #17, DuBois; VFW Post #813; FOE Eagles #540, Reynoldsville; Sons of Italy, Reynoldsville; Polasky Club, DuBois; Big O Club, DuBois; Sandy Hose Club, DuBois.
In his younger days he enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles and flying his parachute plane. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was an electronics research technician for Brockway Glass and Owens Illinois. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas Bogacki Jr. (Beverly) of Reynoldsville, Pa., Christopher Bogacki (Nancy E.) of Lebanon Junction, Ky., and Gregory Bogacki (Diane) of Reynoldsville, Pa.; daughter, Therese Cooper (Shawn) of Reynoldsville, Pa.; brothers, Dennis Bogacki (Kitty) of Reynoldsville, Pa., and Richard Bogacki (Paula) of Reynoldsville, Pa.; sister, Kathy Solada (Terry) of DuBois, Pa.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Louis E. Bogacki Jr., granddaughter, Lauryn Cooper and many aunts and uncles.
A funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church located at 607 E. Main St., Reynoldsville, PA 15851, with the Rev. Fr. William Barron officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, Pa. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 3 p.m. at Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home.
