Thomas James Kelly, age 80, of James Street, Brockway, Pa., died on Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at U.P.M.C. Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Born on May 28, 1937, in Brockway he was the son of the late John and Goldie Kline Kelly. On Oct. 17, 1956, he married Alice Rath and she survives.
Retired, Tom had been employed as a janitor for many years, working at the Brockway School District for 26 years and at St. Tobias Church for 18½.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran, and a member of the First United Methodist Church in DuBois. He enjoyed traveling all over the area listening to country music and dancing with his wife. Tom also was an avid collector of model cars and trucks.
In addition to his wife he is also survived by two daughters, Melanie Frazier of DuBois and Bambi Kelly of Ridgway; one son, Thomas (Debra) Kelly of Curwensville; two grandsons, Brian Kelly of Kansas and Jacob Kelly of Curwensville; and one great-granddaughter, Sedona.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Mae Kelly and Mary McMinn; four brothers: William Edward Kelly, John P. Kelly, James B. Kelly, Francis Joseph Kelly as well as an infant brother at birth.
As per Tom's wishes there will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 12 p.m. at the Chatter Box Café & Social Center with Pastor Faith Bryan officiating.
