Virginia L. Keagle, 79, DuBois, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, at Penn Highlands DuBois hospital.
Born May 11, 1935, in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late James and Esther Jury Horne.
She was retired from the DuBois School district as a janitor.
She was a member of Treasure Lake Church. She enjoyed knitting and was involved in doing missionary work in Bolivia.
Virginia is survived by her step son, William Keagle; two sisters, Hazel Walk of DuBois, Alice Courson of Buffalo, N.Y.; two brothers, James (Cindy) Horne of Reynoldsville and Ray (Jean) Horne of Falls Creek; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband Sheldon Keagle; son, Robert Keagle; stepson, Henry Keagle; step-daughter, Judith Reasinger; three sisters: Rachel Shaffer, Melinda Duttry and Mary Kessler.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel Inc., DuBois.
