W. Glenn Frost, 94, DuBois, passed away Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at Christ the King Manor.
He was born Aug. 22, 1920, in Albany, N.Y., the son of the late Wilbur L. and Mina Hair Frost.
Glenn attended Brookville Area Schools. He was employed by BG Service Company in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and since 1977, in West Palm Beach, Fla. He was the manager of the Machine Production Department.
He was a member of Treasure Lake Interdenominational Church where he served as the vice chairman of the board.
Glenn was an avid reader. He enjoyed traveling across the U.S. and Canada in his RV. He most enjoyed time spent with the Treasure Lake Church community, where he was loved and respected as a leader and visionary in the growth of the church and family life center and its programs and mission.
In 1972, he was married to Mabel Rishell Kirkland Gertz. She preceded him in death in 2009.
He is survived by two children, Nancy Frost Ellzey of Brookville and Joe Frost of Linesville; six stepchildren: Janet Kirkland McElveen and Lois Kirkland and her husband, Rob Marshall, all of Orlando, Fla., Linda Kirkland Romeo and Sandra J. Kirkland, both of DuBois, Edwin and his wife Nancy Kirkland of Ocean Isle Beach, Fla. and Steve Gertz of Falls Creek. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Edwin Frost of Jupiter, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris (David) Frost; two infant children; a sister, Hettie Shingledecker; and a grandson, Dr. Danny Goodman.
Friends will be received from 2-7 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2015, at the Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc., DuBois, and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the Treasure Lake Church. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, at the church with the Rev. Richard Whitaker officiating and Pastor Robert Cappel co-officiating. Burial will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park.
