William Barraclough, age 96, of Route 28, Brockway, Pa., died on Friday, Dec. 22, 2017.
Born on Dec. 16, 1921, in Bald Hill, Pa., he was the son of the late Joseph and Margaret Clark Barraclough. On March 2, 1948, he was married to Elizabeth Edwards and she preceded him in death on Feb. 2, 2014.
Retired, Bill had been employed by the Pittsburgh & Shawmut Railroad as a carpenter.
He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and a Bronze Star recipient.
He was Protestant by faith.
Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening and was a member of Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion.
He is survived by a daughter, Cathy (Robert) Cooper of Elderton, Pa., and a son, William F. Barraclough of Coraopolis/Moon Twp., Pa. He is also survived by seven grandsons and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife he is also preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
A private viewing and funeral service will be held at the funeral home with the Rev. Terry Felt officiating. Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.
