William John Tankalavage, 72 of DuBois passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 in Select Specialty Hospital Latrobe.
He was born July 5, 1941, in DuBois.
Preceding him in death were his parents, William A Tankalavage and Catherine Durkin Tankalavage.
William was a sales representative with Hill's Brothers Coffee, was a member of the Lithuanian Club of DuBois and had been a volunteer fireman for 50 years with the DuBois Fire Department. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who enjoyed hunting and loved to cook.
Surviving are two sons, David Tankalavage and wife, Amy, of Hopwood, and Chris Tankalavage and wife, Milissa, of Lancaster; four grandchildren: Mark, Joshua, Christopher and Stephanie; three great-grandchildren: Brayden, Cameron and Abby; and a sister, Sally Tindal of Alexandria, Va.
Funeral services were private and under the direction of the Shell Funeral Home Inc. 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown.
