Brenda Gail Colbert, 70, of Searcy passed away Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021. She was born Jan. 20, 1951, in Searcy to the late Willis Eugene and Alice Louise Coles Colbert.
Brenda had a 40-year career with Land O'Frost, ending her employment as a scheduler in 2015. She enjoyed attending, anticipating and planning family reunions. Brenda loved shoes and shopping and even taught Brandy about "good" jewelry. She could spend hours watching John Wayne movies, especially "El Dorado." Brenda was independent, stubborn and could even be known as bossy.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her sisters, Carolyn Carey, Elizabeth Brooks and Mary Cox, and brothers, Michael, Bruce and Roy Colbert. Survivors include her sister, Debora (Michael) Cherry; brothers, Donald (Linda) Colbert and David (Connie) Colbert; niece, Brandy Cherry; and many extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 18, 2021, at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with Rev. James Graham officiating. Interment will follow at Monk Cemetery. The family suggests donations in memory of Brenda Colbert be made to National Kidney Foundation, 1001 Craig Rd., Suite 480, St. Louis, MO 63146.
