Margaretta E. (Enferme) Bowen, 90, of Minotola passed away Monday, March 4, 2013, in Ocean View Nursing Home, Ocean View.
Margaret was born in Minotola to the late Charles and Margaret (Mainiero) Enferme and lived in Minotola most of her life.
She served in the U.S. Army as an operating room specialist and medical technician during World War II. Prior to retirement, Margaret was a nurse's aide for the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home of Vineland for many years.
Margaret was a member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Michael's Church of Minotola and member of the American Legion Post No. 270. She was active with the Salvation Army of Minotola and was a member of the Sicilian Club of Vineland. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Buena Senior Center and sharing time with her grandchildren and talking about them when she wasn't.
Survivors include her daughter, Margie Barham and her husband Russell of Beesley's Point; and three grandchildren, Rusty, Mark and Christopher, all of home.
A funeral liturgy will be held 11 a.m. Thursday from St. Michael's Church, 504 West Ave., Minotola. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Victories Cemetery, Landisville.
Visitation hours are 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday in the church prior to the liturgy.
Donations in Margaret's memory may be made to the Salvation Army 600 Central Ave. Minotola, NJ 08341
