Anthony Mario Barbose Obituary
Anthony Mario Barbose

Millville - Anthony Mario Barbose, age 70 of Millville, passed away peacefully, early Monday morning, December 4, 2018 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. He had been in declining health for quite some time.

Born in Kingston, PA to the late John and Gertrude (Konkosky) Barbose, Anthony was raised in Millville and was a longtime resident. He graduated from Millville High School and then attended College in New Hampshire.

Anthony was a teacher at St. Mary Magdalen Elementary School in Millville, and retired. He then used his entrepreneurial abilities to start his own sports consulting business, which he owned and operated for many years. He was extremely well known in the national sports industry, particularly the NFL, for his in-depth knowledge, expertise, and experience.

Anthony was a passionate collector of many things, antiques in particular, and he loved to go to the auction to buy and sell. He was also a pro race car driver and member of the CCA in the 1970's and 1980's. One of his biggest wins was in 1978 at the Watkins Glen race in New York. During that era, he was also well known for throwing huge parties and genuinely loved having a good time with great friends.

Anthony will indeed be sadly missed by his friends. He was predeceased by his brother, John Barbose, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12 noon on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 in the Parish of All Saints, 621 Dock Street, Millville. Friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Millville.
