Mary L. Crane

Vineland - Mary L. Crane, age 94 of Vineland, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 10, 2018, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

She was born in Vineland on January 29, 1924 to the late Wilbert and Ada (Pangburn) Birdsall. At the age of 17, she married the love of her life William "Bill" E. Crane and they celebrated 63 joyful years of marriage together.

Mary and Bill lovingly raised three children in Vineland where they were both active with Cub Scout Pac 10, at the same time Mary was also a Girl Scout leader. Her entire life revolved around her family.

Prior to retirement in 1981, Mary was employed by Kimble Glass Co. for over 25 years. During her retirement, she and her husband would winter in Florida and summer at Reed's Beach, NJ.

Mommom, as she was known, was the matriarch of the family.

In her later years, she greatly enjoyed doing word search and jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, crocheting, watch Law and Order, as well as watching the news through her eye lids. She loved keeping everyone on their toes with her mischievous spirit.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Bill in 2005, son Steven in 1981, daughter JoAnn in 2012, newborn daughter in 1948, newborn son in 1950, and brother Wilbert in 1934.

She is survived by her loving son, Billy (Kathy) and daughter-in-law Lorraine, six grandchildren, Harry Jr. (Kelli), Joe (Vicki), Lesley (Kenny), Elaine (Matt), Lauren and Stephanie (Jay), ten great-grandchildren, Ashleigh (Sergio), Harry III (Diane), Melanie (Paul), Crystal (Jerome), Shawna, Grayson, Samuel, Shelby, Julie and Aubrey, and four great-great-grandchildren, Jamari, Jo'lil, Kimberly and Kinsleigh, as well as, her faithful feline companions, Harley and Charlie.

She will be greatly missed by everyone whose life she touched.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Funny Farm Animal Rescue, 6908 Railroad Blvd., Mays Landing, NJ 08330 or Freedom Farm Animal Rescue, 229 Newport Rd., Cedarville, NJ 08311.
