Frederick F. Cottrell, age 72, husband of Charlotte A. (Peterson) Cottrell passed into the arms of his Lord Jesus on Friday, February 21, 2014 following a 2 ½ year battle with cancer. He went peacefully with his wife, children and family at his bedside. He had great expectations to see Jesus face to face. He was born in Millville, NJ to the late Willard M. Cottrell, Sr. and Margaret Hutchison (Beakly) Cottrell in 1941. Upon marriage in 1972 Fred settled with his wife in Heislerville, NJ. Fred was a member of the Heisler Memorial United Methodist Church of Heislerville for 41 years at which time he was a teen youth leader, Sunday school teacher, lay speaker, and a Vacation Bible School teacher. He worked with young children's outreach programs until his death. To his teen and children's group he was known as "Mr. Fred." He was loved by all as they each made personalized Get Well Cards for him during his difficult time of sickness.

Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his Black Labs, his brothers, daughters, nephews, nieces, grandchildren and friends. He was an avid fisherman of the Delaware Bay which earned him his nickname as "Fisherman Fred." He is survived by his wife; daughters, Margaret Marie Keefer (Jared) and Jessica Lyn Cottrell Seng (Christopher); precious grandchildren, Daniel, Leah, Christopher, Julianna and Lottie Grace. He is also survived by his brothers, Mulford R. Cottrell (Jacqueline) and Marvin E. Cottrell; sisters, Deborah F. Kendall, Elizabeth C. Cossaboon (Wayne), Mable L. Cook (Stanley) and brother-in-law, Peter Randazzo. He was predeceased by his father, Willard M. Cottrell and mother, Margaret Hutchison (Beakly) Cottrell; brothers, Richard D. Cottrell, Willard M. Cottrell, Jr.; sister, Helen M. Randazzo.
