Evelyn Beach Obituary
She was born Oct. 18, 1931, on Betty Brook in South Kortright, the daughter of Harold and Dora (Hait) Dibble.
She graduated from South Kortright Central School in the class of 1950 and then went to work at the Stamford Mirror Recorder Office. Later, she moved to Norwich and worked at NYSEG for a time before moving to Ithaca, where she was executive secretary at Cornell University for 20 years until her retirement in 1987.
Evelyn also enjoyed more than 30 years as a Mary Kay consultant before and after her retirement, where she met and established many wonderful friendships.
Evelyn is survived by her sister, Betty Mauger of Oneonta; her nieces, Linda and Paul Lorentz of Eustis, Fla., Shirley and Bill Cox of Bethesda, Ohio, Pat and Ernie Sills of Oneonta, Clara and Roni Newbery of Newburgh, Peggy Fowler of Poughkeepsie and Karen O'Dell of New Windsor; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was predeceased by her mother and father; and sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Eugene Morse.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart, with the Rev. Richard Dykstra officiating. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, at the funeral home and the family will be in attendance.
Burial will follow the service in Locust Hill Cemetery, Hobart.
Contributions in her memory may be made to Catskill Area Hospice, 1 Birchwood Drive, Oneonta, NY 13820.
Arrangements are with the MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart.

I worked with Evelyn for most of the 20 years she was at Cornell and we continued to keep in touch after. She was my coworker, my Mary Kay Consultant and most of all my friend. I will miss her greatly! Who am I going to call now to discuss the latest deal on QVC?

Evelyn was a treasure. I met her thru Mary Kay; she took me under her wing and was very supportive. She was a wonderful lady.

So sorry to hear. Evelyn was a chiropractic patient where I worked as receptionist. I remember being invited to one of her first Mary Kay parties. She was nervous but we all had an enjoyable time giving ourselves facials.
