I miss my father every day, he was my rock and my best friend, I depended on him for everything like his advice and knowledge as well as his infinite wisdom. While growing up I didn't have alot of confidence in myself but he was proud to call me his son and he was the happiest being a father as I aspire to be one day.
We shared everything together from intrests and hobbies to music, movies, old tv shows, as well as the same shirt or pair of pants. He also hoped that I would make something of myself some day so I wouldn't work myself to the bone like he did trying so hard to provide for his family working in between part-time minimum wage jobs that almost always paid him with respect. And my hope is that he won't be forgotten for years to come. So as I struggle from day to day and aspire to be greater than I was yesterday I am reminded of how much I am just like him, how much I made him proud of me, and how I will make his hopes and dreams for me come true.
