Mildred Romagna Obituary
She was the youngest of eight children. Brothers, Atelio, Joseph, Paul and Robert Romagna and sisters, Emma Hobson, Josephine Hunter, and Anna Walsh all predeceased her.
Mildred graduated from William Memorial Institute in 1940. She retired from Connecticut, Light and Power in 1986 after 28 years of service.
She enjoyed golfing, horseback riding and skiing in her younger years. She was famous for her Italian crescia and eggnog served on Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas that left family members very jovial!
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Ann Edwards, Jean Dawson, Anne Stockmoe, Joan Glaude, Mary Dimmock, June Carver, Paul Romagna, Howard Romagna, Richard Romagna; and several loved Canadian cousins.
A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Dec. 31, 2020, at St. Agnes Church, 22 Haigh Avenue, Niantic. Masks and social distancing is required.
Donations in her memory may be made to St. Agnes Church if desired. No flowers please. The Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home has been entrusted with services.

Dearest Millie - you were always my mother Nellie's favourite cousin as you were born just a year apart. My mother left us on August 4, 2018, just days before your 96th birthday and the last we spoke was on your birthday when there was a party in your honour. It was lovely to speak with you even though it was both a happy and sad time. You advised me then that you would be leaving your home and relocating to seniors residence. I recall first meeting you in 1966, when I visited Niantic CT for the first time with a friend and you were so much fun and eager to ensure that we had a great time. Your energy and spirit were what made you so special. Attached is a photo of 4 of Nellie's children which include from L-R, Donna, Barbara-Anne, Karen, Kathleen with Nellie in front taken in 1985. Missing are Brenda and John. Sending love from all of your distant second cousins in Canada. Rest in peace. Blessings, from Barbara-Anne Morton.
