Paul Mankowski Obituary
His beloved wife Cynthia R. Mankowski and much loved son Gregory Paul Mankowski survive him. Other family members and his nieces and nephews, and a special close friend and relative, Josephine Savachuck survive him. Three brothers, Anthony, Donald and Robert Mankowski; and a sister, Carolyn, predeceased him.
Paul graduated from Norwich Regional Technical School, Class of 1960. He was retired from the Connecticut Army National Guard with a rank of SFC E-7. He spent many years in the Guard as a mechanic. He was a hard and conscientious worker that carried over to being a husband, father and homeowner.
Paul enjoyed NASCAR, all team sports, especially the UCONN women's basketball team, and going to his yearly 1960 Class reunion from Norwich Technical School. He loved to talk and joke with people and have a good time. He will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 27, at St. Mary Cemetery, Jefferson Avenue, New London. In compliance with public health and safety directives due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, face masks and social distancing will be required. Cindy and family,
So sorry to hear of Paul’s passing.
In the short few years we knew him he sure was a gentleman.
The small talk every Sunday at the farm will surely be missed. Sunday morning 10am sharp and Paul would be there with his bags ready to shop.

I was a 1960 Norwich Tech classmate with Paul. We enjoyed getting together for our class reunions that became an annual occasion for our class. He will be greatly missed. Sincere sympathy to his family and friends.

I knew Paul from The National Guard many years ago. I was fortunate to run into him off and on over the years. He was a good and decent person and will be missed by all who knew him.

So sorry to hear about SFC Paul Mankowski , we worked together at the OMS shop in east lyme / U T E S . He never missed a day of work an a great mechanic. You have my deepest sympathy for his loss.

I haven't seen Paul in a long time, but I have known him for many years. I also knew his brothers. I think of all of them fondly. So many great conversations with them all. I even remember their dad from Uncasville School. So sad to see so many wonderful people from my life, pass me by.

Dear Cynthia and Gregory, I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many fond memories of my uncle as I grew up. He had a heart of gold. There was nothing he wouldn’t do to help us when we needed him most. I’ll always remember him that way. He was so special to me. Prayers and love to you both.

Dear Auntie Cynthia and cousin Greg, I was so sad to hear about Uncle Paul passing. He was the sweetest and most giving person. He was always there for us whenever we needed anything growing up, he truly will be missed. Prayers for all. We love you.

Cynthia and Gregory, So sorry to hear of Cousin Paul passing. I will always remember the good old days stopping at the greenhouses after work joking about the patriots and also all of the 4th of July softball games against the Mankowski moos against the Majcher maracas that we used to have.
