Thomas Evans Obituary
He graduated from Tamaqua High School and during the high school period, he worked at Heisler's Dairy as a milk delivery man. Tom married Rose M. Mandler of New London, Oct. 21, 1950, and had many happy years. Tom retired from the U.S. Navy Submarine Service and also from Pfizer Co. Mr. Evans was a member of Union Lodge #31 AF and AM and also, Fidelity Chapter No. 54 OES, where he was a past patron.
He and his wife loved to travel throughout the U.S. as well as England, Finland, Denmark and Sweden. Bermuda was a great Thanksgiving place for them, as they were there six times, as well as various Caribbean Islands.
He is survived by two sons, Thomas Lee and Bryant David; and three grandchildren.
A private burial was held in Avery Stoddard Cemetery, Ledyard. Donations in his memory may be directed to the Lawrence + Memorial Development Fund, 365 Montauk Ave., New London, CT 06320. Byles Memorial Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Tom,
You will be missed deeply. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
I had the honor of being your friend and caregiver at Groton Regency. You will always have a special place in my heart.
Thank you for your friendship and all the stories you shared with us. Thank you for your service in the US Navy and that is kind of how we hit it off when we met a few years back. I remember when I told you my husband is in the Navy and you would often ask how he was and how much things have changed since you served. I will miss you. Rest in peace. Emily
