Groton - Etta A. Anderson, 85, of Groton, died Feb. 19, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 4, 1935, in New London, the daughter of Florence Carpenter Teehan and Whitney C. Teehan Sr.

Etta A. Teehan married Robert C. Anderson Aug. 18, 1954, in Groton.

She worked a short time at EB, was a homemaker and avid genealogist.

She is survived by a daughter, April A. Cortez (Arcadio Cortez Jr.) of Groton; two grandchildren, Arcadio Cortez III of Groton and Floretta Johnson (Stephen Johnson) of Oakdale; and two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Hailey Sanderson of Oakdale. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert C. Anderson; and a brother, Whitney C. Teehan Jr.

A private graveside service will be held at Starr Cemetery in Groton. There are no calling hours.
