Maxwell Ernest Hall Obituary
Maxwell Ernest Hall

- - April 28, 1929 - July 10, 2019

After a long illness, our dear friend and Great Uncle Max passed away peacefully on July 10, 2019 at the age of 90. He is fondly remembered by his brother Brent for the humour he brought to his life and all the good times together; especially on the golf course! He is also missed by Brent's children; Christina, Bradly and Jennifer. Later on in his life his humour was also enjoyed by grand nieces and nephews.

Over the course of his life, Max pursued a career in Public Relations. Pursuing a PR degree from the University of Washington, he moved back to Vancouver and joined a local PR firm. Afterwards, he joined the cruise ship industry working for Matson Cruise Lines and later on he joined Princess Cruise Lines where he eventually became the VP of Public Relations. Through his tenure at Princess Cruise Lines he met many people including US Presidents and Hollywood Stars. He recruited some of these contacts, most namely the 1988 World Series winners the L.A. Dodgers, to enjoy a cruise while entertaining the passengers. Max's PR skills and his contacts in the movie industry also helped him become an instrumental player in creating the much-loved TV series The Love Boat, even appearing on the show at times. His legacy continues with the cruise line as he was instrumental in naming some of the Princess Cruise Ships you see in service today.

Max retired in 1994 and spent his retirement years golfing and spending time with friends while travelling between Vancouver, Canada and Palm Springs, California every six months.

Max's family would like to thank the caregivers that entered Max's life in his later years. The kindness and exquisite care he received from the staff at Amica Lions Gate will be remembered fondly.
