Tabitha Lindsay Loftis, 17, born on July 31, 1990 in Beaverton, OR, passed away tragically on Monday, September 24, 2007 in a car accident on Morningside Drive in Rancho Mirage. During her sophomore year of high school she moved to the Coachella Valley, attending Palm Desert High. She continued her Junior year at Marywood Palm Valley with plans to graduate there. Tabitha was very popular amongst her peers and subsequently had many friends all over the west coast. Tabitha gained a positive reputation as an extremely happy person who delighted those closest to her. Tabitha's spontaneity was one of her most incredible qualities, which sparked joy and laughter in the hearts of everyone she came in contact with. Her greatest achievement was instilling love into the hearts of all her friends. Tabitha was loved by many people and will be missed by everyone who had the good fortune of knowing such an amazing and inspirational person. As part of her school requirements, they are asked to volunteer 35 hours to community charities, but because she enjoyed volunteering, she spent more than double the required hours. Tabitha is survived by her mother, Lorie Loftis; her father, Clyde Loftis; her brother, William Clyde Loftis II; her grandfather, William Clyde Loftis; grandparents, Gene and Lindi Biggi and many relatives and friends. A funeral will take place on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 in Beaverton, OR where her parents reside. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Tabitha's other love, the animals. Lindi, Gino, Family Loftis,
The loss of a loved one is tragic enough. The loss of young Tabitha; just beginning her journey through life is beyond comprehension.
While it may be of little consolation now, please know that Tabitha will remain a living memory to all who knew her.
With love,

Dear Lindi and family:
There are no words to properly express our sadness of the loss of your golden light. We first met Tabitah about seven years ago during one of her visits to the desert. Her sweet, innocent nature was as obvious as her love and admiration for her grandmother. Taken too soon from all who loved her, Tabitah was a lovely young lady with the rare ability to brilliantly express thoughts and feelings through the written word. The world will never be the same without the brightness of this darling girl.

Lindi, I remember when you introduced me to Tabitha shortly after I became a grandmother and I loved seeing the bond the two of you shared. She was interested in broadcasting and an internship until her classes made it impossible...I'll never forget her beauty, talent, warmth and the love she showed you. May she rest in peace and God keep her alive in your hearts forever. With love from our family to yours,
