Tabitha Lindsay Loftis, 17, born on July 31, 1990 in Beaverton, OR, passed away tragically on Monday, September 24, 2007 in a car accident on Morningside Drive in Rancho Mirage. During her sophomore year of high school she moved to the Coachella Valley, attending Palm Desert High. She continued her Junior year at Marywood Palm Valley with plans to graduate there. Tabitha was very popular amongst her peers and subsequently had many friends all over the west coast. Tabitha gained a positive reputation as an extremely happy person who delighted those closest to her. Tabitha's spontaneity was one of her most incredible qualities, which sparked joy and laughter in the hearts of everyone she came in contact with. Her greatest achievement was instilling love into the hearts of all her friends. Tabitha was loved by many people and will be missed by everyone who had the good fortune of knowing such an amazing and inspirational person. As part of her school requirements, they are asked to volunteer 35 hours to community charities, but because she enjoyed volunteering, she spent more than double the required hours. Tabitha is survived by her mother, Lorie Loftis; her father, Clyde Loftis; her brother, William Clyde Loftis II; her grandfather, William Clyde Loftis; grandparents, Gene and Lindi Biggi and many relatives and friends. A funeral will take place on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 in Beaverton, OR where her parents reside. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Tabitha's other love, the animals.
