John Forrest Hyland, 44, of Fort Walton Beach, passed away unexpectedly on June 16, 2007, in Holt.
John was born on June 13, 1963, in Aspen, Colo.
He grew up in Shalimar and lived in Fort Walton Beach his whole life. He was recently recognized for his award-winning kitchen and home designs.
He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Willis Johnson, and paternal grandparents, John and Virginia Hyland.
He is survived by his only daughter, Taylor Hyland, who was the light of his life; his loving parents, Randy Nash and Stephen Hyland; his sister, Paige Rhinehart; a half-sister, Erin Pasquale; two uncles, Willis Johnson III and Dr. William Hyland; an aunt, Sally Davis; his grandmother, Mary Johnson; and his girlfriend, Brenda Moore.
A memorial service to celebrate John's life will be held at 11 a.m. June 21 at Immanuel Anglican Church in Destin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Angel Fund, Habitat for Humanity or a similar organization of your choice in John's name.
Everyone who knew John loved him. He will be greatly missed.
