McLEAN, Alan J. (President of the Ontario Home Builders Association, Former partner McLean-Taylor Construction)
At the L.H.S.C. South St. Campus, London on Monday, July 27, 1998. Alan J. McLean of Emily St., St. Marys, aged 45 years. Beloved husband of Marilyn (Verbrugge) McLean. Loving father of Pepper McLean and fiance Farouk of St. Marys, Amber McLean and fiance Doug of Duncan, B.C., Kyle McLean at home, Ashlee McLean of London, Peter McLean at home, Emily McLean at home. Proud grandfather of Sakina and Austin. Cherished son of Helen McLean-Nethercott and husband Gordon of Blanshard Township and the late Lloyd McLean (1981). Dear brother of Larry McLean and Brigitte of Antigonish, N.S., Gordon McLean and Nicola of Jupiter, Fla., Barb Ford and husband Larry, Betty Finnie and husband Glenn, Marg McLean, all of St. Marys. Dear son in law of Peter Verbrugge of Ridgetown. Dear brother-in-law of Allan Verbrugge and Cathy of Ridgetown, Jerry Verbrugge and Harriet of Sudbury, Egbert Verbrugge and Ruth of Ottawa, Diane Martin and husband Ron of Chatham, Archie Verbrugge and Christine of Muirkirk. Sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother in law Thelma Verbrugge (1995). Resting at the L.A. Ball Funeral Chapel (Ball & Sass Ltd.), 7 Water St. N., St. Marys on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Marys Presbyterian Church on Friday, July 31, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Rick Horst officiating. Interment will follow in Avonbank Cemetery. In his memory, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the London Health Science Centre would be appreciated.
