CHARLES WELLS November 18, 1932 - April 29, 2021 Passed away peacefully after a brief illness only nine months after losing the love of his life, his wife of 59 years, Beverley. He will be greatly missed by his sons, David (Miriam) of Rothesay, New Brunswick and Bruce (Christina) of New York. A devoted and loving Grampa to Fraser, Adam and Darcy. He was thrilled to have new step-grandchildren in his life, Aicha and Ali. Chuck to his family, Charlie to all, no one embraced life more! Chuck was thankful to have his sister, Betty (Jim Rideout), and nephews Steve and John (Lindsay) Prest nearby as wonderful supports. Chuck cherished his late sister, Lillian and her family. Born and raised in Toronto, Chuck attended Lambton Kingsway School, Etobicoke Collegiate Institute and the University of Western Ontario where he graduated from business school and made friends that lasted a lifetime... he reunited with his Kappa Alpha Fraternity friends annually for over 50 years. KAVOO gatherings were epic events! Chuck enjoyed a successful career in finance while raising his family in Etobicoke and then Sherwood Forest in Mississauga. Sailing defined the Wells family. Chuck actively supported the competitive sailing pursuits of his sons while enjoying time on the water with Bev. This culminated in a sailing voyage in 1993 on Tickertape to Florida, where they dropped anchor. They then spent winters in Venice and summers in Collingwood, where countless family memories were made. Chuck's enthusiasm for life, work on endless projects and participation in sports engaged him with friends, neighbours, and family. A celebration of life for Chuck and Bev will be held when pandemic restrictions ease.
