DR. EMORY BURKE Passed away peacefully at home on December 27, 2021. Loving husband to Rosanna Honig. Doting son to Gabriella Hartman. Proud brother to Gerald and Sheryl, and Alex and Tova, and brother-in-law to Debby and David. Inspiring father to Steven and Sheryl, Karen and Amy, and Super- Papa to Halle, Lexie and Rachi. We miss you already! SGH, sweet Papa. LYMY.

I was just looking to call him for advice and found this out. So sorry to hear. Rosie, Stephen and all. Hope you have forged on like he would like . My mom Aileen worked for dr. Burke for decades. I grew up in his office and talked to him about my education a lot. I would talk to his patients as they left him about nutrition and exercise. I was a bit hyper. Thanks for the advice Dr. Burke.

I interned under Emory in 1975-76. He was a total pleasure to work with and a great teacher. In the years that followed he looked after my Dad and kept him going for 8 years to age 90 with class IV heart failure. Great clinician!

I worked at NYGH with Emery who was a wonderful Dr and worked well with the nurses and other staff and was respectful of his patients
