Evelyn LETT Obituary



LETT, Evelyn Story, B.A., M.A., L.L.D., (Simon Fraser and UBC), O.C.
Born October 19th, 1896 in Wawanesa, Manitoba, died peacefully at home on Friday, March 26th, 1999. Predeceased by her husband, Chief Justice Sherwood Lett. She is survived by her family, Mary and George Plant and Frances Lett Green. Grandchildren Greg and Sandra Plant, John and Faye Plant, Ralph and Beth Plant, David Plant and Jillian MacGillivary, Kaetlon and Colin Tanner, June and Rick Stratton-Edwards, and Dwight Stratton, Jr. Great-grandchildren Sherwood and Meredith Plant, Emily and Carolyn Plant, Jeseye and Kory Tanner and Christopher George Plant. Evelyn's life was rich with friends and was spent dedicated to family and community. Her loves were music, youth and improving the quality of life for others. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 31st at Shaughnessy Heights United Church 1550 West 33rd Avenue, Vancouver. A reception will follow. You may wish to remember Evelyn by making a donation to the Sherwood Lett Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o The U.B.C. Development Office or to any organization close to your heart.
