George Buchan Q.C. (Buck) McINTOSH



McINTOSH, George Buchan (Buck), Q.C.
Born in Vancouver, on June 3rd, 1923. On August 13th, 2000, Buck died peacefully, with his loyal McDuff beside him, at Endswell, the farm he built and loved so dearly on Bowen Island. Buck is survived by his wife Nicolette, their children, Fiona (Robert Beaty), Cameron (Tracey), Georgia (Cloude Porteus), and much loved grandchildren Michael, Alison and Georgia Beaty, and Taylor and Duncan McIntosh. Buck graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He served in the R.C.A.F. during World War II before earning his law degree from the University of B.C. in 1948. He articled with, and became senior partner of, Lawson, Lundell, Lawson & McIntosh. His entire career was spent with the firm. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm at Christ Church Cathedral, 690 Burrard Street, Vancouver, on Friday, August 18, followed by a reception at the Vancouver Club, 915 West Hastings Street. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in Buck's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 565 West 10th Avenue, Vancouver, B.C., V5Z 4J4.
