My partner Andy Kilpatrick and I, Wayne McCarthy, were lucky enough to buy Holly and her husbands’ historic renovation at 14 Dingwall in Riverdale in 1990. We still live here.
Although the mechanical portion of the renovation was not fully complete she had transformed the interior into something magical; an incredible deep red dining room, an Asian inspired master bedroom, colours in the rest of the house that I had never seen before.
I actually purchased the house before my partner had even looked at it knowing he would be amazed.
Saddened at the news.

I had not heard from Holly for a while, so I googled her name and saw this obituary today. Holly was exceptionally talented. Her father was my first cousin. May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. It was a pleasure to know Holly.

Holly had a love of colour, creativity, and adventure!
During our days together at BSS we shared many laughs in the art studio and schemed together about what our next adventure was to be. The main one I recall was escaping the BSS grounds during lunch with another pal (Sarah P) and taking the subway down to Dundas st where we proceeded to get shared tattoos, Holly was so proud of the RED heart on her ear.
We lost touch for many years but rediscovered our friendship this year. Dear Holly you were so brave and spirited. You w
ill be missed by many.

My condolences to Holly's boys, to Cam, Aunt Robin and the remainder of her family, please.
I will remember all the fun and silly adventures we had as children and the few years to catch up as adults near the end of her life. I will miss the giggles, talks and shared moments both at BSS and in Muskoka. God Bless you, Hol Doll, just like your Dad would say, and may you rest in peace where there is no pain and only unconditional love.

I just got the news as the e-mail did not reach me due to technical problems....This is the saddest saddest news. Year 20202 has taken away my most precious friend. I am speechless. Holly was the one who helped me and encouraged me in my business. It's because of her that there are so many people all over the world who know me and wish to work with me. Holly was so talented and good with colours that all of us would get amazed....such a beautiful smile, sweet voice...Holly there will be no one in my life who can replace you. You have a special place in my heart. I will really miss you Holly.....but we will meet again and then you can add colour to my life once again!!!!

My heart goes out to all of Holly's family and friends on the loss of this beautiful woman. My memories of Holly are that she was such a positive, warm and gracious person. Attributes I know that she passed on to her wonderful son Andrew. I recall hearing in a recent interview that when we remember our loved ones who pass away, they live on - I know that Holly will live on in the hearts of all those that she touched.

"Il cuore del mio Amore non batterà mai più". This words are from an Italian song that Holly and me listen to many times. I try to translate, but she didn't mind about this kind of things, for what? She liked the sound, as the bright colours, the breeze from the ocean, a cheesy pasta, a good glass of red vine, her dogs and my arm around her shoulder, as I like her head on mine, but over everything, when she talked about Andrew and Cooper, her eyes were shining of Love.
This morning I wake up with the Italian song in my mind and, maybe for the first time, I understand that " The heart of my Love will not beat anymore"
Holly, thanks to be in my life as in the one of Eleonora, Sofia, Daniela, Ben, Marco, Verena, Olmo, Lucio, Manuel, Rossella, Vanni, Lisa, Fabio, Marta, Eva, Emma, Paco and everyone knew and Loved You in Italy and Spain.
As we told each other one day: We are lucky people, 'cause our lives made us understand that death don't exist. So long my Love.

To all of Holly's family who loved her I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I was Holly's art teacher at BSS for five years and she was a remarkable talent and fine student producing thoughtfully executed original works in many media. As a teacher, like a parent, you don't expect your former students to die before you and when they do it is always a shock. I would see Holly from time to time in the neighbourhood and it was always a treat to hear what she was up to. And seeing her kept her in the present and allowed me to see her great accomplishments with design and jewellery. Such a terrible loss. My heart goes out to you all.

Thank you Holly for your friendship and caring. Thank you for the trip to India and the visit to your home in Merida, Mexico. You were an extraordinary person with extraordinary talent. You were loved by all who knew you - a beautiful person inside and out. I will miss our lunches at Banjara and both our lighthearted and thought-provoking conversations. I'll think of you every day.
My heart goes out to Holly's family and friends.
