JEAN MARIE MACCALLUM O'NEIL M.D. July 6, 1927 - April 15, 2021 On April 15, 2021, peacefully at home surrounded by daffodils from her beloved garden. Wife of Jim (predeceased), mother of Peter (Carmel) and Mary (Stephen), grandmother of Erin, Rachel and Sienna. Graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine in 1951, she was one of only a handful of women in her class. She went on to pursue Psychiatry. She practised medicine in Haliburton and Richmond Hill. In the early days of their marriage and throughout her life, she was a strong and devoted support to Jim in his ministry. They retired from St. John's York Mills in 1989. A passionate gardener, gourmet cook and a good listener. She had a genuine interest in the lives of others. Her kindness and generous spirit will be remembered by many. There will be a private family graveside service.

Jean, you were always there. You & Jim were a formidable team.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your care & kindness over the years.
You were both quite amusing. Jim not believing a budgie could talk & how he obviously understood the "salty" phrase I'd taught Christy. There was no doubt that Jim understood. Then finding all the dinner plates on the table upside down as he was comparing the different artists work. Happy wonderful memories I have carried already for 49 years.
You are now with your Jim. The past seven months must have been dreadful for you. I envy your reunion with Jim.
Thanks for the memories & kindnesses from you both. May you find eternal peace & happiness together.
