JOHN "Murray" FERRON, Q.C January 12,1927-February 16, 2021. It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of John "Murray" Ferron, Q.C. Beloved husband of Ruth "Joanne" of 65 years and father of Drew (Kathy) of Salt Lake City, Utah, Lawrence (Lara) of Toronto and Murray (Luisa) of Oakville. Predeceased by his parents, John Ferron and Mary Connell, and siblings Glenn, Georgina, Etta, Annie, Bruce and June. Survived by siblings Lorna Dean, Barbara Joan Fraser and Robert Ferron along with his grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Murray grew up in Toronto on Queen St. E at Carlaw. After completing public school he attended Queens University class of 1949 and furthered his education at Osgoode Hall, and was called to the Bar in 1955. Murray articled at the law firm of Smith and Codwell where he met Joanne, the love of his life. They married in September 1955 and recently celebrated their 65th anniversary. He opened his own practice and in 1972 he received the Honour of Queens Counsel. Murray was appointed a Master and Registrar in Bankruptcy in 1973 and was well known in the judicial community. He retired in 1999 after a successful and lengthy career. Murray was a great connoisseur of world history, fine art, poetry, music and wine. Murray and Joanne regularly enjoyed attending the symphony and the Stratford Shakespeare Festival and were social active members of the Toronto Hunt Club. They raised their family in The Beaches and remained there for 63 years. In his spare time you could find him in his beautiful gardens on Glen Manor Dr. E., which he maintained and nurtured until moving to Oakville in 2019. His love of natures' beauty and fine arts were generously shared with his grandchildren, MacKenzie Ferron (Jamieson Skinner), Vancouver, Savannah (Arne Peterson), Houston, TX., Evan and Dylan Ferron, Oakville and Tate and Rowan Ferron, Toronto. He was always and foremost a loving and devoted husband, father and papa. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all. We would like to express our deep gratitude to the Chartwell Waterford Retirement communities in Oakville for their loving care. A Celebration of Life will be held in his honour when it is safe to do so. Memorial donations may be made through Giffen-Mack Funeral Home.

Remember, O Lord our God, this Your servant, our brother, and learned Registrar in Bankruptcy, J. Murray Ferron, QC, who now stands before You in faith and hope of eternal life.
Release him from all his sins. Pardon, loose, and free him from all transgressions, voluntary and involuntary.
Grant him to enjoy and to share in Your eternal happiness which You have prepared for all who love You.
Be merciful, Lord, to Your servant. Look rather upon his faith than his works, and grant him rest amongst the Saints.
To the soul of Your servant, J. Murray Ferron, who has fallen asleep, grant rest in a place of light, a place of verdure, and a place of tranquility.
Sincere condolences to Master Ferron's wife, their children and family.
