ROBERTS, John Fulton (Jack) W.W. II Veteran, recipient of the D.F.C. as a member of the Pathfinders Squadron 403.
Peacefully at York Central Hospital on Thursday, June 18, 1998. Former resident of Glynnwood and Brookside Retirement Homes. He is fondly remembered by his dear friend Edna Maxwell, Victoria, B.C., his niece Frances Watterworth (Blair), Craig Watterworth, brother-in-law Frank D'Argent (Jean), Halifax and Lloyd Murray and family. Predeceased by his wife Evelyn, his sisters Margaret and Jean D'Argent. Past President of Summit Golf and Country Club, Life member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, long time active member in the Lombard Club. He went to war as an older member of the service and returned to finish his C.A. and eventually opened his own business with the Rogers and Roberts Chartered Accountants. After closing that business, he joined the firm of Cutler Brothers as the Comptroller from which he retired at the age of 65. The Cutler family has been very supportive of Jack in his latter years, especially Ned. In retirement, he worked with the Association of Chartered Accountants in their Senior's Program. Music was the love of his life both playing his piano and listening to and going to concerts. Friends may call at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Wednesday after 10:30 a.m. for a Memorial Service to take place at 11:30 a.m. If desired, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the Red Cross.
