Margaret Elizabeth Gardner
Passed away on Monday, October 30, peacefully in her sleep in High Prairie, Alta. in her 63rd year after a brief struggle with cancer. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Terry Roller; her mother, Marie Gardner; and brothers, Ross (Susan) and Scott (Elin Paxton). Predeceased by her father, Kenneth. Cherished aunt of Sydney, Mary, Henry and Jane Gardner and Jeff Aver. Born in Sudbury, Ontario, Elizabeth moved with her family to Waterloo, Ontario in 1970. There, she graduated from high school and earned her Bachelor of Education and Master of Social Work at the University of Waterloo. In 1980, Elizabeth moved to High Prairie, Alberta as a Special Education teacher where she met and married Terry and remained teaching until her retirement in 2015. Liz embraced Northern Alberta and loved the numerous animals she cared for on the rural property she shared with Terry. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held in Waterloo, Ontario at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
