Margaret McCALLUM Obituary

McCALLUM, Margaret Louise (Margot) (nee Hoeschen)
It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Margaret Louise (Margot) McCallum on August 4, 2002 at Victoria General Hospital. Margot was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on November 29th, 1917, the youngest child of Ben and Margaret Hoeschen. She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Donald Robinson McCallum, sister Bernadine Bujila, brother John (Alma) and brother Norman (Grace). Margot leaves to mourn her loss her son John (Debbie), granddaughter Pamela (Gord), grandson Jamie, great granddaughters Julie and Rachel, and many nieces and nephews. Margot (Auntie Mung) was especially close to her niece Margot King, with whom she enjoyed many holiday trips and adventures. Margot had a great zest for life: her family, travel, games, movies, animals, and especially golf. Her husband, Donald, was a career banker with the Bank of Montreal and together they enjoyed postings in a number of places, including Prescott, Toronto, Montreal, New York and London, England. Margot was a very devout Christian woman and lived her Catholic faith with great devotion. We will celebrate Margot's life at a funeral mass on August 8, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue, with Father Sam Argenziano officiating. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Margot's memory to Victoria General Hospital Foundation (2340 Pembina Highway, Winnipeg, MB, R3T 2E8) or the Winnipeg Humane Society (5 Kent Street, Winnipeg, MB, R2L 1X3). Arrangement have been entrusted to:
