MINIMOSA ELOISE MCCREA Minimosa Eloise McCrea was one of a kind, the first and only of her name. Mini was a wonderful child who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia at age two and after a very difficult two years has died peacefully at home with her parents on December 17, 2018. She is survived by her mother Ruth, her father Kent and her 'baby' Frank. She has very special grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins that she leaves behind. Mini faced a long and difficult road through her time with cancer and it created within her a child beyond her years in love, determination, and wisdom. Despite all that she faced, Minimosa was rarely scared, never felt sorry for herself and always kept a playful sense of humour that brought joy, and tears to many a moment. When free from the hospital Mini loved the adventure of baking something new, tending to her beautiful garden blossoms, and family boat rides to chase the sunset. We are deeply thankful to our hospital family who helped steer us through these times of hope and sadness, supporting us in all ways big and small. It was a time of crises, which has now turned to sorrow. We are grateful for your heroic efforts, kindness and genuine investment in Mini's well-being as well as your true friendship with her as a person. We are also deeply grateful to our family, friends and support community. Our strength to support Mini and keep going through the most difficult of times came from you. Our family will be hosting a reception in memory of Mini at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, located in Mount Pleasant Cemetery at 375 Mount Pleasant Road (east gate entrance) on Friday, December 21st, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Hospital for Sick Children, in memory of Minimosa Eloise McCrea at http://my.sickkidsdonations.com/Minimosa We love you Mini, baby unicorn, kitty, foal, baby elephant, baby tiger, and porcupine.
