MURA JOAN NOBLE Mura Joan Noble, passed away peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on May 22, 2021, in her 95th year. Joan was born on June 15, 1926, to Harold Rupert Pattison and Annie May McFaul in Toronto, where she attended school and developed her calling to education. She became a teacher, serving in Toronto, Kingston and York School Boards. Joan completed her Bachelor of Arts at Queen's University two weeks before her 70th birthday. Joan was married to John Kenneth Noble for 71 years. Joan and Ken shared a passion for education and faith, and worked together in ministry in many congregations as well as advocacy for women's shelters and leadership in church governance. Together they had three children: John Harold, Ruth Elizabeth, and Tom Andrew (deceased 2010). Joan and Ken also have three grandchildren: Tara (Chris), Krystal and Tom, and one great-grandchild: Lauren. Joan believed in the calling to serve, in her many volunteer roles in churches and food banks and creating a reading circle for children in her community. She will be greatly missed by her many friends, congregation members. She was a smart, witty, caring person who loved to laugh. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, an in person funeral service is restricted in numbers. Friends and family are invited to share in a livestream service via the Joan Noble webpage on the James Reid Funeral Home website, (click on the link to register).
